Before Cooking

A good hand wash
Wash your pan gently with warm, soapy water to remove any dirt left over from the manufacturing or shipping process. Mild, natural detergents (pH 6 - pH 8 variant) can be used but please avoid the harsh ones.
Towel dry
Dry your pans well with a soft towel or non-abrasive dishcloth.
Loves stoves and inductions
Don’t worry, your pan is 100% gas stove and induction cooker safe. Just make sure you use a heat source that fits the bottom of the pan, especially on the gas burner.

While cooking.

No hot mess
Start by setting your temperature to medium-low. If you overheat your pan, it can damage the nonstick coating. Now, you’re good to go!
Pre-heat game
Use a tablespoon of oil or butter to preheat for a maximum of 90 seconds. Avoid using oil sprays or cooking aerosols. There, you’re all set.
Treat me softly
Metal utensils with rough, pointy edges can scratch and chip your non-stick coating. Your Ember pan prefers soft tools - wooden, silicone - that ensure a longer shelf life.

After you’re done.

Cool Down before Hand wash
Let your pan cool completely before washing—sudden temperature changes can impact its durability. Once cool, hand wash with a soft sponge and lukewarm, soapy water to preserve the coating and maintain its condition. Avoid soaking or using the dishwasher for long-lasting performance.
Keep it spotless
In case of any oil spills on the outside, wipe it immediately. Cooking without cleaning oil on the outer surface may leave a permanent stain. For stains from fatty foods immerse the cookware in hot water and wipe the surface with a soft sponge. For more stubborn stains on the inside, heat any edible oil in the cookware and clean it with an absorbent paper. Wash with soapy water.
Handle Gently, Store Smart
Gently place and remove your pans from stove tops to avoid scratching the steel base. For storage, keep acidic foods out of your Ember cookware and do not refrigerate. Always store your pans individually and avoid stacking them to maintain their quality.

You Asked, We Answered

How is the Ember non-stick coating different from others?

Our non-stick is made from natural ingredients which are all 100% safe to use in contact with all foods. Plus, the absence of potentially dangerous chemicals like PTFE (Teflon®), PFOA, PFAS, Lead, and Cadmium means that there is no chance of harmful materials leaching into your food, even if you accidentally scratch or overheat your pan.

Does the non-stick wear over time?

Ember's proprietory coating process ensures that the coating lasts 3X longer than most non-stock cookware in the market. However, all non-stick coatings slowly wear off given frequent use. Just like your favorite pair of shoes, the more you use them the faster they wear out. But with delicate care and cleaning, Ember cookware is designed to last years!

Will the outer colour of the pan become dull with time?

The outer colour of the cookware will remain as it is for years if you follow all our care instructions. Please keep the following points in mind to keep the colour and shine intact:

1. Use the cookware on low to medium flame. Don't let the flame reach the sides of the pan.
2. Avoid oil spill on the sides of the pan. In case of oil spill, wash the stain immediately after use.
3. After every use, handwash the outer side of the pan also with a gentle soap. Do not use harsh detergents to wash the cookware.

Do Ember products have a warranty?

Our cookware products have a five-year warranty covering any major damage to the body, handles, lids, or anything else that functionally impairs the cookware, other than discoloration or damage through wear & tear. Read more here.

What type of tools should I use with the cookware?

Wooden, silicone, plastic, or nylon utensils are all great to use with your Ember products! Avoid using rough, sharp edges of metal utensils as they can damage the non-stick coating.
