Create crisp, beautifully blistered homemade pizzas with this classic Thin Crust Pizza Dough. Prepared using the Ferment and Bake Modes of the Marvel Oven, it develops excellent flavour and structure for artisan-style pizzas.

Function Used: Ferment Mode & Bake Mode
    Yield: 3 (8 to 10 inch) pizzas

    Ingredients for the Pizza Dough

    • 250 g Refined Flour

    • 5 g Sugar

    • 2.5 g Instant Dry Yeast

    • 15 ml Room Temperature Water

    • 135 ml Chilled Water

    • 2.5 g Salt

    • 15 ml Olive Oil

    Method

    1. In a small bowl, combine the room temperature water, sugar and yeast. Mix well and rest for 5 minutes, or until slightly frothy.

    2. Place the refined flour in a large bowl. Add the activated yeast mixture and gradually pour in the chilled water while mixing until a rough dough forms.

    3. Add the salt and olive oil. Knead until smooth, elastic and slightly tacky.

    4. Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl and cover with aluminium foil.

    5. Preheat the Marvel Oven on Ferment Mode at 40°C.

    6. Place the bowl on the Baking Tray. Place the Baking Tray on the middle rack and ferment for 45 minutes, or until doubled in size.

    7. Gently punch down the dough and divide into 3 equal portions. Shape into smooth dough balls, place on a lightly oiled tray, cover and proof until doubled.

    8. Roll each dough ball into an 8 to 10 inch circle, lifting and rotating as you roll for an even thickness. Transfer to a parchment-lined Baking Tray.

    9. Top with your preferred sauce, cheese and toppings.

    10. Preheat the Marvel Oven on Bake Mode at 250°C.

    11. Place the pizza on a preheated pizza stone or hot Baking Tray. Place it on the middle rack and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the crust is crisp and golden and the cheese is bubbling.

Marvellous Tip – Use chilled water for better gluten development, and roll the dough evenly for a crisp, uniformly baked crust.
