- Steel wool can be used for tougher residue - use light pressure, avoid aggressive or prolonged scrubbing.

- Built to handle everyday temperature changes, from stovetop to sink.

What is the Super Pan's cooking surface made of ?

The cooking surface is plasma-treated stainless steel. A high-energy plasma treatment process restructures the steel surface at a molecular level, creating a micro-textured, hardened layer that resists sticking and wear. Similar to DuraNano technology used in premium Asian cookware, this process creates permanent non-stick properties that never degrade.

Does the Super Pan have a non-stick coating?

No. The Super Pan has zero coating. The non-stick performance is a structural property of the plasma-treated surface, not a layer applied on top. There is nothing to chip, peel, or wear off. It is also completely free of PFAS and PFOA.

Why is the cooking surface darker/ black than regular stainless steel? Is it a coating?

No. The darker finish is a natural result of Ember's NanoFusion™ surface-engineering process. During manufacturing, the titanium-containing surface undergoes heat treatment, forming a stable titanium oxide that gives the pan its distinctive dark colour. This isn't paint or a coating applied on top - it's a characteristic of the engineered surface itself, so there's nothing to peel or flake.

Is the Super Pan induction compatible?

Yes. The stainless steel exterior provides a seamless, edge-to-edge magnetic base ensuring full compatibility with induction, gas, electric, and ceramic cooktops.

Is the Super Pan oven safe?

Yes. The Super Pan is oven safe up to 500°F (260°C), allowing you to start on the stovetop and finish in the oven without switching vessels.

Do I need to season before first use?

Yes. We recommend one initial seasoning before your first cook.

Can I use metal utensils on the Super Pan?

Yes. Both Super Pan variants are metal utensil safe. The cooking surface is engineered to withstand everyday use with metal spatulas, tongs, and spoons without scratching or degrading.
